We are thrilled that you decided to join our pool of incredible mentors here at Acadium! We know you are now wondering what is next after you bought your membership and we got you covered! Here's a quick rundown of the next steps:
If you are ready to start the matching process, please submit an apprentice request.
Upon receipt of your request, our team will start the recruitment efforts and we will match you with students based on your apprentice requirements. The matching timeline is within 5 business days upon receipt of your request. If your requirements are very specific, it might take longer.
You will be notified via email once a match has been found and the apprentice has reached out to you through the chat.
After the apprentice sends you a message on the chat, you have 48 business hours to respond to them. This is the interview phase. Most mentors interview to check whether your goals align to know more about the apprentice and to hopefully come up with an apprenticeship plan.
If the student is not a good fit, you can request a rematch and we’ll send you another apprentice within 5 business days. Please note if there is no request for a rematch sent, you will not be matched with a new apprentice.
If you decide to work together, you may now send the apprenticeship contract to the apprentice and when s/he signs it, your 3-month apprenticeship contract starts.
During the apprenticeship, we will send you weekly rating emails. It is recommended to complete them as this allows us to monitor your apprenticeship performance. Your rating will be accessible to the apprentice and vice versa through the Ratings dashboard that can be found on the bottom right section of your chat with the apprentice.
You are also assigned an Apprenticeship Advisor who will check in with you by email to offer proactive support if needed. You may voice out apprentice-related concerns to them.
A few days before your apprenticeship contract ends, you will be prompted to complete the final rating. This is required for both parties to conclude the contract. Its completion will also be a prerequisite for the apprenticeship certificate issuance to the apprentice. After this is done, that wraps it up.
Just a few things to consider:
You are expected to provide mentoring to the apprentice during the apprenticeship period. This may be in the form of coaching-feedback sessions or other means. This is why it is important to do goal setting before you sign with an apprentice so you can also develop an apprenticeship plan to make the experience smoother.
After your first payment, once the recruitment campaign starts for your apprentice request and you are introduced to an apprentice, it is no longer eligible for a refund.
If the apprenticeship contract gets canceled due to no fault of the mentor, the process restarts. if you have any billing concerns related to this, please contact our Support team at hello@acadium.com
All memberships are subscriptions and renew automatically unless canceled. Keep in mind that your billing date and your apprenticeship date do not align. The billing date is based on your first payment date and renews based on your payment term.
